Frente al alza de los contagios de COVID-19 de manera histórica en la entidad, el gobernador Mauricio Kuri González aseveró que su apuesta es la reactivación económica y no una desaceleración de las actividades, aunque resaltó que la salud será la prioridad para su gobierno.
De acuerdo con la Dirección Nacional de Epidemiologia del gobierno federal, Querétaro atraviesa por el pico más alto de la pandemia desde que esta llegó a la entidad, pues la última medición muestra que se cuentan con 4 mil 864 casos positivos estimados, mientras que el segundo pico más alto se presentó en enero de 2021 era de 4 mil 169 casos positivos estimados.
“Yo siempre estaré buscando y pugnando no cerrar la economía y poder hacer lo posible para que no afecte a la economía de los queretanos. Sin embargo primero está la salud, y estaremos haciendo los anuncios”.
Mauricio Kuri compartió que entre las medidas que se están tomando para hacer frente a esta cuarta ola de la enfermedad respiratoria es el incremento del número de camas en los hospitales de la Secretaría de Salud del Estado de Querétaro (SESEQ), mientras que el Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social (IMSS) hace lo propio, al tiempo de recordar que el gobierno estatal cuenta con 90 mil pruebas PCR.
Hasta el momento de acuerdo con la Red Negativa de Infecciones Respiratorias Agudas (IRAG) la ocupación hospitalaria se ubica en 28 por ciento. En Querétaro se registra 15 por ciento de ocupación de camas con ventilador y 38 por ciento en camas sin ventilador.
“Habrá que esperar estos días. Esperamos que el pico venga en los próximos día y ya comencemos a descender como sucedió en otros países. Nosotros creemos que sea a mediados de febrero cuando ya empiece el descenso, pero esta es una enfermedad que no sabemos, pues no tienen palabra de honor”.
Respecto a las personas que se encuentran hospitalizadas, el gobernador indicó que la “gran mayoría” de quienes ocupan una cama son personas que determinaron no vacunarse o quienes viven con alguna comorbilidad, por lo que exhortó a la población inocularse.

Con la conformación del Programa Estatal de Seguridad Pública 2022-2027, el gobernador Mauricio Kuri González compartió que el reto a combatir son las lesiones y no el crimen organizado, pues se congratuló que en las 13 mil encuestas que se aplicaron a ciudadanos se descartó que hubiera presencia de este tipo de organizaciones en la entidad.
De manera específica dio a conocer que en el estado es inexistente una problemática relacionada con la extorsión de grupos delictivos, pues se conoció que los queretanos no sufren de delitos como el “cobro de piso”.
“Lo que me gustó mucho y creo que es una gran noticia para todos es que ninguna, de los casi 13 mil ciudadanos que contestaron, dijeron que tenían algún problema de delincuencia organizada: no les pedían derecho de piso, no les pedían dinero o extorsión”.
“Ahí nos dimos cuenta cuál es la necesidad número uno que tiene Querétaro, la número uno son las lesiones y agravios, sobre todo entre los vecinos”.
Para avanzar en el rubro de seguridad y realizar una evaluación de la estrategia en la materia, indicó que cada año se aplicarán 13 mil encuestas con el objetivo de afinar la estrategia.
Faltas administrativas
Debido a que en el Programa Estatal de Seguridad 2022-2027 se identificó el descontento de la población sobre la laxitud de los “castigos” en faltas administrativas; el titular del Poder Ejecutivo del Estado compartió que no solo se incrementarán la sanción en lo económico y permanencia en los separos, sino que se establecerá la realización de trabajo comunitario.
La mejora del servicio que presta el 911 también aseveró que será otro de os rubros en los que se trabajará, pues es necesario incrementar la respuesta de las autoridades ante las emergencias.
“No solamente es el aumento en la parte económica y la parte coercitiva en lo que se refiere a cárcel, sino en la parte que se puedan llevar apoyos a la comunidad, es decir cosas como jardinería, pintura etcétera”
Cien policías por año
Respecto a la estrategia de seguridad se fijó el compromiso que al terminar su administración en septiembre de 2027, la Policía Estatal tendrá en números absolutos 600 policías más, lo que representa que cada año ingresarán a la corporación 100 nuevos elementos operativos.
El reto será bajar los delitos de robos, lesiones, violencia intrafamiliar, violencia de género, extorción, amenazas, los cuales fueron identificados como las principales necesidades de la población en la entidad.
“Por lo menos es 100 policías nuevos anuales y también será el apoyo para la Fiscalía porque ha bajado el número de investigadores en la Fiscalía, sin perder la calidad de los policías, porque tienen que ser todos con su capacitación y sus exámenes de confianza”.

Respecto al video que circula en redes sociales sobre un hombre que desarmó y sometió a dos policías de la Guardia municipal de la capital; Kuri González compartió que ya se detuvo al agresor, y categorizó que las corporaciones policiacas cuentan con el respaldo del Poder Ejecutivo estatal.
“Las policías tienen todo mi respaldo, estamos trabajando para profesionalizarlas, para tener policías de proximidad, policías que puedan apoyar en la mediación y apoyar en lograr esta confianza que necesitamos entre policías y ciudadanos”.
